VeinViewer Vein Scanner Provides Innovative Solution to Vascular Access Challenges
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – (May 14, 2015) –strong> Christie Medical Holdings
, the global leader in vein imaging solutions, will exhibit its award winning VeinViewer®
technology at the 2015 AACN National Teaching Institute and Critical Care Exposition®
. The exposition is being held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. Exhibit days are May 19-21. VeinViewer by Christie will be on display in booth 1610.
VeinViewer is a vein visualization device that uses harmless, near-infrared light to project a real-time, HD image of a patient’s veins directly on the surface of their skin. VeinViewer is the only direct projection vein finder on the market capable of providing a clinician information Pre-, During and Post vascular access.
“Nurses in the critical care unit are working with very ill patients that can pose huge challenges in vascular access, potentially delaying care. VeinViewer technology not only helps a healthcare provider find a vein, it helps the provider find the optimal vein for peripheral IV access,” says VeinViewer product manager Erin Shelton.
In addition to demonstrations of VeinViewer technology, Christie Medical Holdings is also offering educational sessions during the expo. Attendees can earn CERPs (continuing education recognition points) when they take part in a Christie-sponsored ExpoEd session. Sessions will be offered in Christie booth 1610 each day the exhibit hall is open.
VeinViewer is clinically proven to increase first-stick success rates by up to 100%, increase patient satisfaction 100% and reduce the number of invasive PICC lines (peripherally inserted central catheters) placed because peripheral IV access could not be achieved.
